A little lesson in darkening/deepening your blacks.
Monochrome in Canon Digital Pro, opened in ps7, Cropped, converted to lab color, narrowed the curves of a and b to rework the saturation of the black/dark shadows, then darkened to blend the flower into the shadows. Changed the color mode back to RGB for dA protocol. There is some yellow in this from adjusting the b lab curves so I guess this can't be a B&W... and i can hardly call this a true photo with all of the adjustments...
